Sometimes, a recipient may request changes to their issued credential; but the details submitted may not be valid, sufficient, or aligned with your policies. In such cases, rejecting the change request is the best course of action to maintain credential integrity.
Before you begin:
Make sure you’ve read Introduction to Change Requests to understand how to navigate to the Change Request list and open the Credential Details Modal.
Reviewing the Change Request
Once you're in the Credential Details Modal for a recipient’s credential, you’ll see the change request (if raised) displayed clearly.
In this modal, you can:
Read the Subject and Description of the request.
View any supporting documents uploaded by the recipient (such as IDs, certificates, or other evidence).
Decide whether to Approve or Reject the request.
To begin rejecting, click on the “Reject Request” button.
How to Reject a Change Request
If you determine that the request cannot be approved:
Click the "Reject Change Request" button.
A Reject Change Request Modal will appear. In this modal:
Select the reason for rejection from the dropdown list.
Enter a mandatory description explaining the rejection. This ensures transparency and helps the recipient understand your decision.
Click “Reject Request” to finalize the rejection.
Or click “Cancel” if you wish to forfeit the process.
What Happens Next?
An email notification will be automatically sent to the recipient.
The email will clearly include:
The reason for rejection you selected
The description you provided
This allows the recipient to understand the outcome and respond accordingly.
Can the Recipient Submit Another Request?
Yes; recipients can submit new change requests any number of times until the credential meets their expectations and your approval criteria.
Each new request will show up in your Change Request list, making it easy to track and manage updates.
By providing clear feedback when rejecting a change request, you foster a smoother resolution process - ensuring that all parties stay informed and confident in the system.
