Issuing a credential is just the beginning of a recipient’s journey; and your role as an issuer doesn’t end when you hit “Issue Credentials.” In Wauld, we believe in empowering issuers to not only deliver credentials securely but also to manage every aspect of the recipient’s credential lifecycle with confidence and clarity.
The Issuer Portal is your centralized workspace; a place where you can:
Seamlessly access all recipient data,
Track credential interactions,
Handle corrections and change requests,
Maintain the integrity of issued records,
And provide a consistent, professional experience to every recipient.
Whether you're managing a handful of recipients or thousands, Wauld gives you the tools to:
Ensure accuracy,
Improve response time, and
Maintain accountability and trust across your organization.
This article will walk you through every key capability available to issuers within the portal related to recipient management; from viewing recipient lists to editing, resending, or voiding credentials, and from handling change requests to reviewing a full audit log of every credential interaction.
By the end of this guide, you'll be equipped to deliver not just digital credentials; but a smooth, secure, and professional experience your recipients can trust.
1. Viewing the Recipient List
All recipients to whom credentials have been issued from your current workspace are listed in one place. Each recipient is uniquely identified by their email ID, regardless of how their full name was entered at the time of issuance.
To learn more, visit Viewing Recipients List
2. Searching for Recipients
Don’t scroll endlessly; just search. The recipient list view includes a search field that allows you to search by recipient name or email. Results filter instantly as you type, allowing you to quickly navigate to the right recipient.
To learn more, visit Searching Recipients
3. Viewing Recipient Details
Once you click on a recipient from the list, you’ll enter their Recipient Details View, where you can see:
All credentials issued to the recipient under the current workspace.
Status tags such as Pending Change Request, Expired, or Void.
A sorting feature to organize credentials by issue or expiry date.
A toggle to show or hide voided credentials.
To learn more, visit Viewing Recipient Details
4. Adding Private Notes
Sometimes you need to track internal context; a conversation, a special request, or a recipient-specific instruction. The Private Notes section allows you to add internal notes visible only to your team.
Notes are stored securely and editable at any time.
Recipients cannot see these notes.
To learn more, visit Adding Private Notes
5. Managing Change Requests
If a recipient spots an error (like a misspelled name or incorrect date), they can submit a change request. From the recipient view, you can:
View submitted change requests with full details.
Review supporting documents.
Accept (process) or reject the request.
Automatically issue a new, corrected credential when approved.
To learn more, visit Introduction to Change Requests
6. Viewing Credential Details
Clicking on any credential from the recipient view opens a Credential Details Modal, where you can:
See document metadata (name, type, issue/expiry date, status).
View the credential preview.
Take multiple actions such as download, edit, void, or resend.
Access the complete audit log for that credential.
To learn more, visit Viewing Credential Details
7. Downloading a Credential
Admins can download credentials in PDF or PNG formats directly from the Credential Details View.
Click the “View Credential” button.
Use the Download dropdown to choose your format.
To learn more, visit Downloading an Issued Credential
8. Resending a Credential
If a recipient didn’t receive the email or misplaced it, you can resend the credential.
From the credential view, click “Resend Credential.”
The system sends the original credential to the recipient’s registered email.
To learn more, visit Resending an Issued Credential
9. Voiding a Credential
Credential no longer valid or issued by mistake? Use the Void option to mark it as invalid and prevent any further use.
To learn more, visit Voiding an Issued Credential
10. Editing an Issued Credential
Need to update the recipient’s name or fix a typo? Use the Edit option to modify credential fields (if the credential hasn't been voided).
To learn more, visit Editing an Issued Credential
11. Understanding the Credential Audit Log
Every credential action is tracked in the Audit Log, giving you a transparent view of:
Issuance, downloads, views, shares, edits, voids, and verifications.
Change request history.
Links between updated and original credentials.
