Organization Verification

In digital credentialing, who issues a credential is just as important as what it represents. Recipients and verifiers must know credentials come from a trusted, verified source.

Wauld’s Organization Verification helps you signal authenticity, enhance credibility, and ensure your credentials are trusted across the ecosystem.

Why Organization Verification Matters

When recipients share a credential, they’re not just showcasing their achievements; they’re also representing your organization. A verified badge helps ensure that employers, recruiters, educational institutions, and other third parties recognize your credentials as legitimate and credible.

Unverified organizations display a “Pending Verification” label on issued credentials until verification is complete.

What You Gain by Verifying Your Organization

Here’s what you gain by verifying your organization on Wauld:

Documents Required for Organization Verification

To complete your organization verification, Wauld requires official documents that establish two key aspects:

  1. Proof of your organization’s legal existence - confirming that your entity is formally registered and recognized by a governing body.

  2. Proof of authorized representation - verifying that the individual requesting verification is officially associated with the organization.

These documents help us validate both the organization and the requester, ensuring that verified badges are granted only to legitimate entities. All documents must be clear, valid, and issued by an authorized institution.

Accepted Proof of Organization (any one):

  • Any document, notice, or letter issued or stamped by the IRS that includes your organization’s name.
    Examples: CP575, 147C, CP299, 988, 937, 1050, 5822, etc.

  • IRS forms will be accepted only if a copy of the form is available on the IRS website.
    Examples: Forms 8871 and 990.

  • A Certificate of Business Incorporation issued by the state in which your organization conducts business, clearly stating your organization’s name.

  • Your most recent SEC filing, such as Form 10-K, 10-Q, or 8-K, that includes your organization’s name.

  • A business credit report from Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion that lists your organization’s name.

  • For government departments and agencies only: an official letter on department letterhead, including the full name, address, and date.

Authorized Representative Proof:

To verify that the person submitting the request is affiliated with the organization, submit:

  • Government-issued photo ID
Examples: Passport, Driver’s License, State ID, or Green Card.

  • Proof of employment or affiliation
Examples: Company-issued ID card, official company email thread, or employment letter.

All documents should be uploaded securely via the link provided in the verification email sent by our support team. Submissions are handled confidentially and used solely for verification purposes. In case of any doubts/questions, we are always here to help :)
