Changing Password - Issuer

Security is a top priority especially when managing digital credentials. Whether you’ve shared your Wauld account with someone temporarily or simply want to update your password for safety or routine hygiene, Wauld offers an easy way to change your password at any time.

When Is Your Password Set?

Your password is first set during the account creation process. Wauld supports two types of user onboarding:

1. Creating a new account: During sign-up, you’ll be asked to enter your first name, last name, and email. An email is triggered to your provided address using which you can set your password anytime.

2. Joining an existing organization via invite: If you were invited to Wauld, you'll enter your first name and last name during invite acceptance. After that, you’ll be prompted to set your password to complete the process.

How to Change Your Password

If you’re already logged into Wauld and want to change your password, follow these steps:

1. Access Your Profile: To view your profile details:

   1. Click on your profile icon located in the side navigation bar.

   2. A small popup will appear showing your full name and email address.

   3. Click the View Profile button to open a modal containing your profile information.

   4. Inside this modal, you’ll see your:

      1. First Name

      2. Last Name

      3. Email Address

      4. Change Password button

   5. Click the Change Password button to open the change password modal.

2. Set Your New Password: To update your password in the modal:

   1. Start by entering your current password.

   2. Next, type in your new password.

   3. Re-enter the new password to confirm it.

   4. To enable the Save button, your new password must meet the following requirements:

      1. Be at least 8 characters long

      2. Include at least one uppercase letter

      3. Include at least one lowercase letter

      4. Contain at least one special character

   5. After entering the required details, click the Save button to apply your new password. If you wish to exit without making changes, click the Cancel button.

Your password is the key to accessing your Wauld account. We recommend updating it regularly and especially after sharing access with someone else. You can change your password anytime from your profile or recover access via forgot password flow if needed.
